The USS Arizona Memorial

By 10 a.m. on December 7th, 1941, the Japanese attack was over. Five of the eight U.S. battleships
in Pearl Harbor were sunk. The Japanese sank or damaged 19 out of 96 ships in the anchorage.
Approximately 171 U.S. aircraft were destroyed. More grievously, 2,389 Americans died and 1,178
were wounded. The Japanese lost 29 aircraft, one large submarine, and five midget subs.
Ultimately the Attack on Pearl Harbor cost them their Empire.
